Cancel your credibility
July 3rd, 2006
From recorded phone call to blog post (subsequently digg’d) and on to television and finally, yesterday, to the New York Times. Our star, Vincent Ferrari, tried to cancel his AOL account; the operator on the other end of the line in the cancellation/retention section (whose explicit job as even stated in AOL job listings is to stop people from cancelling) did his best to stop it (for a while), and turned quite stupid towards the end.
Oops, AOL.
(Highlights are in the NBC video, click and see/hear/giggle!)
