Bang!

Parish news coupled with a gratuitous plug: for Bang! The Complete History of the Universe, Irish-launched here in TCD tonight as part of an Astronomy Ireland public lecture (more here) that I was lucky enough to attend. One of the authors, Chris Lintott (presenter on The Sky At Night) gave the (excellent) talk; the co-authors (who weren’t present) are Patrick Moore (needing no introduction) and Brian May (of Queen and other things, who apparently nearly finished his PhD in astrophysics…never knew that).
