Yes, typos annoy me too, almost as much as ambient apostrophes, but the most egregious ones are the ones that aren't spotted and corrected. This one was. Moreover, as an avid consumer of various 24-hour news outlets (online, rolling tv news, radio, etc) I am happy to see RTE get the news out quickly. Of course, if this were a regular occurence, my view would be different. But as an infrequent mistake, rapidly corrected, I think that it is a small price to pay for up to the minute news. Hunestly.
